In educational institutions, it is common to have a large number of students whose attendance needs to be recorded on a daily basis. Some institutions also utilise biometric attendance systems to accurately track attendance. To cater to the specific needs of each institution, there are various configurable settings available in the general settings of their attendance management system.

By accessing the general settings of their instance, institutes have the flexibility to enable or disable specific features based on their preferences and operational needs. This allows them to customise the attendance tracking process to suit their unique requirements, ensuring efficient and effective management of student attendance data. For instance, they can enable the option to mark attendance on a daily basis, ensuring that attendance is recorded for each specific day. This feature proves useful in accurately monitoring student presence and absences throughout the academic term.

Additionally, institutions may choose to incorporate biometric attendance functionality into their systems. This technology relies on unique biological identifiers, such as fingerprints or facial recognition, to verify and record student attendance. By enabling this setting, institutions can enhance the accuracy and reliability of attendance tracking.

Once all of these settings have been enabled, you can proceed to indicate your attendance for a course or class. To do so, kindly navigate to LMS → Attendance → Take Attendance → Search with the help of filters → Mark Attendance → Save Attendance.
